On completion of this course delegates will have a good understanding of:

  • The Equality Act 2010 in relation to disability
  • Clues to help recognise and identify people with disabilities
  • The medical and social model of disability
  • How to remove barriers and suggest practical ways to do this in your own organisation
  • Feel more professional in situations involving disabled people
  • Be able to encourage good practice within your organisation
