Disability Equality and Awareness
Builds awareness and understanding, so staff can engage confidently with colleagues and clients with disabilities. Introduces the UK legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and the social model of disability to better meet the needs of disabled people. Learn more about Disability Equality and Awareness.
Equality and Diversity
An insight into the value and relevance of diversity and equality and how organisations can meet their obligations under the Equality Act 2010. The course includes:
- Activities around the different protected characteristics
- Types of discrimination
- Socioeconomic exclusion
- The extra disadvantages brought about by having 2 or more overlapping categories such as race, disability or class. This is known as intersectionality
