Learning outcomes

On completion of this course delegates will:

  • Feel more positive and responsible towards equality and diversity
  • Have a deeper awareness of the Equality Act 2010 and their responsibilities under the legislation
  • Understand the benefits of the Equality Act for organisations and employees
  • Know what the 9 protected characteristics are
  • Understand socioeconomic disadvantage
  • Understand different types of discrimination
  • Understand intersectionality and the impact of having several characteristics of disadvantage
  • Feel confident in encouraging good practice within your organisation
